Because of very heavy lightning i Aalborg, Denmark the entire sunsite.dk machine is down. This afternoon there came a rainstorm over the northern parts of Denmark. Because of that, the entire sunsite.dk site went down. That means that the mailindlists and the webpage are down for the time beeing.

Unfortunately the UPS did not do it's job and the PSU in the server blew out. Sun has been contacted and they will bring a replacement PSU later this week (in a few days or so).

If you'd like to see how and where the lightning struck between 15:00 and 18:00 you can take a look at this picture from the Danish Meteorological Institute..

On behaf of the entire AWeb team,
Jens Dueholm Christensen <jens@amigadk.dk>

In reply to Comment 12 (Casper):
Well it depends, There appears wery small and big trombis. Ofcourse most of the european trombis are much smaller than tornados in the US, but there is some strong tornados here too. That trombi in Mikkeli showed. Biggest thing I know here in finland was 4.8.1932 (long long before i was born :) ) "4.8.1932 -The strongest Tornado Outbreak in Finland on the 20th Century! Some tornadoes were at least F3! The widest destruction path was 500 meters and the longest track 39 kilometers! In Nurmijärvi tornado killed a 17-year-old boy."
If you can read finnish then look at this. There is also a picture of path of that tornado outbreak.

By the way those trombis which start over water are not called trombi or tornado, those are called just as water pillar. those do not start quite the same way a trombi starts.
Tornado or trombi starts over dry land, water pillar start eg. at the sea.
