MorphOS user and advocate Daniel Miller wrote an AmiWest show report for the amiga-news.de website. Here are some maybe surprizing quotes: "Other guys fom the Genesi team were running back and forth to get CDs or check things or fleeing for their lives or who knows what. In all it was less than professional and it's a good thing they presented early in the day so there weren't more people present to witness all the problems." and "The OS4 demo on Saturday: this was a wonderfully executed presentation.". Read all about it here and here.

Daniel Miller's Amiwest 2003 Show Report : Comment 24 of 32 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 29-Jul-2003 16:52 GMT | In reply to Comment 21 (Daniel Miller): I'm interested in MorphOS as a technology...i dont care about its
AmigaOS3.1 API wrapper..that can be done with UAE etc. I want the QBox
stuff to be up and running..leave the ABox behind. I dont treat the
MorphOS sytem as Amiga. and as for being part of the Amiga community.
no, not really. they want to take the coders away into new realms
and environments..as well as the users.
Think BeOS. poweful system. can run Linux stuff very easily...but people
want more...and were given more. that platform hit the bricks at 150mph
when they ported it to x86. why get BeOS versions or wait for BeOS versions
when you can just boot into Windows? Exactly. |
