The author of A/NES CGFX has decided to cease further development and is realising a final version today.
A/NES CGFX is a NES-emulator for 680x0 based Amiga-systems. It emulates the basics of a Nintendo Entertainment System (8-bit), and does it pretty well. Full speed emulation is not unusual even on slower Amigas. Except AmigaOS, it requires a 68020 processor or better, some Fast-mem and CyberGraphX v3+ (And yes, it even runs on P96).

Final version of A/NES CGFX released : Comment 12 of 17 | ANN.lu |
Posted by [JC] on 14-Dec-2003 16:27 GMT | In reply to Comment 6 (Steffen Haeuser): > Well, my future software runs all only on OS 4 capable hardware, sorry
That's rather unacceptable Steffen. There is no reason you can't write programs that will run on both OS4 and MorphOS that take advantage of new features. In fact, I suspect our upcoming port of Divinity will end up working on OS4 by default (assuming the executable format, library loading+linking etc is the same) - we just won't be able to guarantee any support for it.
Of course, that might change if developer hardware and OS4 was supplied to us for testing and development.... :)
Bear in mind that whatever OS4-specific API's you invent, MOS will be able to add the same thing to it's own array. It's no use trying to force what Amigans are left onto one system or another by API seperation. |
