Here you can find the latest version of Jamiga:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jamiga
The latest version is alpha 0.0.1
Notes:
The first JAmiga Release in 2004. This one features improved stability, some JITting and it allows the first AWT Frame to open :) Don't expect other AWT Apps to run just yet!

New version of Jamiga! : Comment 9 of 40 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Soundwave on 25-Jan-2004 16:55 GMT | In reply to Comment 4 (Fabio Alemagna): If you don't know what it is already, or if you didn't understand it (mentioning AWT should have been more than an hint for you), you're probably not interested in it anyway.
I disagree. I think that the statement is fair - it should be in the interest of the original developer to attract as many users as possible to his or her piece of software. "AWT" doesn't mean anything for a person not knowing anything about Java.
In the end, I think this discussion is about whether or not AmigaOS technology is meant for ordinary people or computer scientists (just like the popular attitudes in the Linux communities).
Developers: write good software - then promote it just as good! |
