Hermans is going to sue Epic because he can't stand MorphOS
See details.
Here are some quotes from Hermans from a recent IRC chat:
"They'll reap what they've sowed. Buck really should learn how to use Google."
"Should have messed with us when they still had money to pay banner ads or the employees."
"ask Thomas Steiding from Epic."
"he has to appear in court for breach of contract."
"the port he approved for distribution and which lists him explictly as betatester? ;)"
"Epic is the MorphOS obsessed German gaming company"

Hyperion to sue Epic for being a MorphOS obsessed company : Comment 35 of 150 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Ole-Egil on 23-Feb-2004 07:09 GMT | In reply to Comment 33 (Fabio Alemagna): How do you know that it is self-contained? Because it almost forms a valid sentence structure? The thing about taking things out of context is that single sentences/snippets are not the whole discussion.
If we were discussing, and I said "you're a moron" and then later said "ok, sorry I called you a moron" then we might part as friends.
If I discuss with someone else and says "Fabio is a moron" and later "ok, my bad, Fabio is correct, I am the moron" then depending on how much of the conversation you read you might be seriously offended, or you might become my friend. This is why context is a GOOD THING (TM) ;-)
In fact, if someone later takes single sentences from _this_ post out of the context they were written in and posts them to you in an email that says "see what Ole-Egil said about you", you could be lead to believe that I am calling you a moron. A bit far-fetched, seeing as you're NOT that stupid, but context is still a good thing :-)
I don't have ANY clue as to context in THIS matter, though. Therefore I choose to NOT speculate. And I would advice everyone else to do the same :-) |
