Ah, so McEwen also told him about non paid medical insurance? Somehow I think you're purposedly obfuscating things...

Btw, hello Luca, long time no see.

I think you're forgetting the lack of legal representation Fabio. EVERYBODY (including your good self) knows that this case was, at best, quite ridiculous.

Still, keep kidding yourself that Genesi are in the right and Amiga are in the wrong... maybe someday soon you'll realise things are never as black and white as they seem.

Cheers,

Yes I do understand things quite clear now. Personally I can't speak anything bad about either Bill Buck or Raquel Velasco since they didn't harmed or damanged me in any ways. No it's the quite oposite I had many emails changed with them in the past couple of months and I do see them as very friendly, visionary and for sure as persons one can trust. As you see, I do have a totally different opinion about them than you have.

And this here is the keypoint. You have absolutely no right to play the judge about other people by going out like a missionary and take various people to the shambles because you have problems with them. The world is full of people and we need to figure a way to live with them in a normal way. Say you have big problems with your neighbour and believe he is a total asshole but the neighbour next to him knows him as very good person (they also met together, do barbeque and so on). This here is a similar situation, while you don't trust them or have problems with them others again do see them as good persons.

But be it that way you said but these are your very own problems and concerns and not mine or not the one from others. I dislike making your problems become mine problems. And I do belive that everyone should make up his/her own mind about all this and not repeat the junk others have told them.

By your own definition, what makes you a better person ? I don't know who you are but all I know is that you have nothing better to do than taking a creditable person like Buck to the shambles - All this because you think he has knocked your little world.

>>Genesi did a lot of stuff in the past 1-2 years to re-animate this community.
Yeah and now we're finding out most of it was underhanded and illegal.

Only an uninformed fool or someone deliberately distorting the truth would say that. I assume you're the latter. I challenge you to specify *one* confirmed illegal action by Genesi; I don't mean what your or some other forum poster or some magazine writer has interpreted as an illegal action. I mean a file charged. And as for "underhanded," that would mean you know that bbrv intentionally deceived people rather than just misjudged coming events.

I agree that bbrv have been playing hard ball with Amiga, Inc., maybe going beyond what is necessary to run their business. But AI management started the dirty business by saying MorphOS was based on stolen code and threatening to shut down all thieves. And I agree that bbrv could be more restrained in communications and actions at times, rather than going full-speed with the expectation that things would work out for everyone involved.

But your statement is just blatant BS. It's sad to read things so far off base, thinking somebody might actually believe them.

BTW, how is Bolton Peck doing these days, is he getting paid? Wouldn't it be ironic if he would be swindled by the ones who helped him take legal actions against his former employer? It would nevertheless be interesting to hear what he thinks about all this.

So, slandering the competitors chipset provider in public, financially assisting former employees of their competitor to sue their competitor, using the names of several individuals representing their competitor for advertising their own products on google, taking advantage of their competitors unability to defend themselves in a court and suing them on grounds that would have otherwise been easy to dismiss, claiming the rights for the competitor's as well as their business partner's IP, threatening to sue their competitor's business partners, etc. All this is perfectly ok, but *god forbid* if Ben Hermans say something patronizing about BBRV?

Most of the unpaid people were contracted by Thendic/France and NOT Genesi. Thendic/France got owned by Pretory who then got bancrupt. So what claims do these people have on Genesi now ? "

If they worked on Genesi/Peg/MorphOS products and were contracted by Thendic France then BBRV owes them!

"Paris, France - November 23, 2002 Thendic-France SARL and bplan GmbH of Frankfurt, Germany have reached an agreement to merge and form a new company. The name of the new Company will be "Genesi". Genesi was incorporated this week under the supervision of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Luxembourg. Separately, Thendic-France has completed the necessary legal and financial steps to separate itself from Pretory USA Inc. and be acquired by Genesi. Genesi will begin operations from Luxembourg on 1 January 2003."

Guess not, Thendic France hired them and it's the very same Thendic France which merged with bplan to Genesi.

Typical USA business man strategy: As long as you pay your lawyers well, you can face anyone in court and avoid people who can't afford to take you to court.

Can't they all team up and start a joined case against Genesi? "

Sure can It's called a class action suit. Sure that the 800 people of Pretory would want a part of that.

accusation towards Genesi or BBRV is an "asslicker". I have some
criticism towards BBRV, but not that they would be stealing people's
IP by using some kind of bankruptcy scheme. From my point of view this
is a ridiculous theory."

Theories and facts are two different things. We do know the BBRV tried to take the Thendic France Assets from the Bankrupt Pretory, Fact.

Fact, Millions of dollars are owed back to Pretory by BBRV.

What do you call it when you take something from someone else?

"Let me just say one thing about AInc here: If AInc had been closed
down like Thendic was when problems became overwhelming, I would be a
*lot* less critical towards AInc now. A bankruptcy hurts (cost me 3000
EUR this time) but shit happens. It's a lot better than keeping
people's false hopes up for years."
