In four days, voting for the Luxembourgish Web Awards will be over, and I would greatly appreciate if you could cast two votes for me, if you didn't already do so. Please vote for Amiga Network News and vote for my homepage by filling out the forms with your first and last name and email address. Both sites are in separate categories (editorial and personal), so voting for one won't affect the other. Why you should vote? Because there is a life after school, and winning the awards makes a nice addition on my resumé, not to mention opening potential doors for freelance work. And a webmaster who's winning is a happy webmaster, and a happy webmaster invests more time in his projects. Reasons enough? :)

Bill McEwen has posted a new Executive Update, where he hints that there might be a strong possibility of an AmigaOS 4.0, if sales of 3.9 are good enough, and announces that there will be more details and announcements at the Amiga World show in Cologne next month.

This Linux-oriented PPC-based parallel computing system from Terra Soft Solutions might be interesting for future AmigaDE-use for those who have a problem with extra money floating around and are looking for ridiculous amounts of CPU power. :)

"Distributed BASIC is a BASIC interpreter released in form of a shared library. It is designed to be used by developers to add scripting capabilities to their software. Once loaded by an application, a BASIC scripting library will be available in the background, ready to execute BASIC programs. Distributed Basic was developed to provide clean and clear interfaces around it. It is easy to embed the language into an application and use it as a macro language like Rexx. This project aims at providing an alternative to Rexx as scripting language while being compatible with Rexx on the communication level." There's a full online documentation here.
