Amiga-news.de asks: which system for 2002 : Comment 62 of 76 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 26-Oct-2001 11:08 GMT | In reply to Comment 59 (Samface): Samface, face facts.
Bill stood up and publically stated that on 1st November 2001, we will be able to walk into a shop and buy AmigaOne and AmigaOS4.0.
He publically announced this a few short months ago.
Given the time it takes to get a completed product in to production and shipped to shops, and given the time at which he made that statement, they would have had to have development completed at the time.
So, either they had development completed and they are getting product to the shops for 5 days time (in which case SOMEONE would have heard about it by now), or they had completed development but they are not in production (unlikely), or they had not completed development and Bill was making promises he knew they could not keep.
Your call. |
