That's complete nonsense.
The plan was always to have OS 5 build on OS 4 to a very large degree.
There is no need to reinvent the wheel.
Besides, let's focus on OS 4.x before we start discussing products which are years into the future.
With respect to flexibility, I doubt OS 4 can be bested in that department, it's already fully prepared and equipped for full memory protection and different memory allocation schemes.
We didn't spend an additional 6 weeks of development time on the kernel for nothing. |
