SciTech Software Inc. announcement : Comment 107 of 195 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Kelly Samel on 19-Feb-2003 10:06 GMT | Ben, I have a serious question for you.
You have mentioned that OS4 is a product seperate
from AmigaOne hardware. Is there a possibliity of
OS4 appearing on Pegasos? I am considering investing
in a Pegasos but still want OS4. Doesn't it make sense
for you and Amiga Inc. to support all platforms that are
targeted at Amiga users? and gain additional sales?
Or is this entirely up to Amiga Inc.? I know the focus
right now is getting OS4 finished for the announced
target platforms but I would like to know about the
chances of more platforms being supported
afterwards (including Pegasos). I am not talking about
MorphOS here, I am talking about supporting a possible
good viable PPC Amiga OS4 target platform. Any ideas on this?
The SNAP deal is good news though.
I don't see how people could see this as a negative thing.
Most users can do fine with a few specific drivers for common
cards but the flexibility is there if you need it. It's
a "win-win" situation really. |
