Gaming on the Amiga, an Interview with Bill McEwen : Comment 1 of 23 | ANN.lu |
Posted by XDelusion on 28-Jun-2000 22:00 GMT | SOunds good but can someone explain to me why we must rely on Direct X? Also I do believe you have to have that for about every single video game in the market today. As far I was to understand, Direct X was built to allow the PC to do things that Amiga did naturally, and what not, but I could be wrong.
Anyhow, I hope they have something special in store that will make conpanies turn there heads, as well as not limiting them by presenting the world with something that Direct X does better. Also Windows and Mac have Real Play, and Media Studio, how the hell are we supposed to keep up with this!?? Multimedia is one reason I choose to still use Winblows, because I can downlaod a Movie in ASF format, or VCD format, burn it to a CD or whatever, and watch it, will I be able to do this in the new Amiga OS!??!?!?! I can't in Linux, Be, AtheOS, ect, and I doubt I will be able to with QNX either. :O(
I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO RUN AMIGA ON TOP OF WINBLOWS!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! |
