LOL! That's a novel idea. Exchanging money for goods.
Surely we can't have it that way. Not if we're REAL AMIGANS! No Siree. I want to buy a coupon, as a partial pre-payment, from one company that licenses a trademark which will in turn restrict my available options of vendors who in turn sell yet other companies' goods, and when those goods finally are available from the licensed vendor I want to get that prepayment deducted. That still sounds a bit too easy, so it would be even better if I never got any of those coupons, and instead had to contact the licensing company after my purchase, because the licensee can not keep the frivolous promises of the licensor, and then after having payed more money than someone who did not pre-order and not receiving the licensed goods before those who did not pre-order, then I can send some sort of proof of purchase back to the licensor (provided they're still in business) and hope that they can afford to pay me my money back. Oh, wait. It's still not complicated enough. I'm not even supposed to know what the preorder is for (a mobo distributed via the licensee or via the licensee to the licensor and then sold to the customer, or an OS, or a complete system built with that mobo), when it will be delivered and how much those goods will cost when eventually delivered. Oh, wait, it's still complicated enough. I want to be member of a fanclub of a corporation and provide free marketing, maybe a t-shirt would be a good idea. Yes, let's also use a name for that fanclub that's already in use. I also don't want to know when I will receive said t-shirt or what it looks like, and I don't feel the need to specify a size or anything. Oh, wait, the fanclub members should design the shirt themselves, that's cheap and nice for the object of my idolatry, the licensing company.
Paying money and receiving goods? Who do you think I am? One of those evil peecee users?
