Maybe I need to take another look [ ;-) ]. I got around in it with no trouble at all. While no Webby-winner, it didn't strike me as any worse than a lot of similar web sites around, with the English useage mistakes being the major offender in my opinion.
> Thick table borders , a lack of colour cordination and poorly produced graphics are just some of its problems ( this is not bias ; many of the problems here can also be seen on the amiga inc site)
It's good to see detailed criticism so it can be addressed, if necessary.

"this the site has been optimized to be displayed on a resolution of 1024x768 on any browser, but it should be ok also in 800x600."
1024x768 is un-realistic to design for , and this is meant to be designed for amiga browsers so its even more un-realistic to expect users to use 1024x680 or scroll around , i doubt they gave a thought about amiga users using the standard graphics output or the browser chrome of amiga browsers.
I don't find that statement "insulting." But you're right that the pages should be designed to display OK at both 800x600 and 1024x768, so the designers should go for that and not have to make any statement about display sizes.

That's pretty harmless, as far as sloppy coding goes. I consider "sloppy HTML" something that produces unintended, unexpected results. If this is the worst of their sins, then they're doing pretty good.
> There are alot better ways of producing "gaps" then this.
Yeah, but it still works fine, even in Amiga browsers, I imagine. ;-) Anyway, thanks for being more specific. |
