Pegasos presentation in 'neues' cancelled! : Comment 26 of 179 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Raffaele on 22-May-2002 06:34 GMT | There are different reasons I think:
Let's examine any possibility I can wonder on:
1) Amiga Inc. is ready to sue Morphos... Morphos is based on Amiga OS so they can't show anything different...
They don't want to be sued so they cancelled the show...
2) They may show only Linux... but then they will only dream about having another -FULL- TV passage i.e. another show in which they are the main guest star... so they declined...
3) They are about to made a show like that in their home-video... (SMILE), but they had noticed that is something good only for family book of memories
(having read all laughing comments users made at that video),
so they are preparing something better...
4) They are kicking off all Amiga related code out of Morphos, leaving compatiblity with Amiga by having an emulator (that is a perfectly legal thing) and it seems to me that it is called ABox,
and only THEN they will present the machine at the TV-SAT show saying «And it runs Amiga programs by emulation!».
5) They have broken the sole and unique Motherboard they have...
6) The OS and the programs are not so good to be viewed at the show so they are preparing some nice demo stuff about it...
7) They have only one motherboard, so having only a limited amount of time in the TV-Show, then they are uncapable to show Amiga progs and Linux progs at the same time...
(boot-show-reset-reboot-show requires a technical time, and we talk about REAL TIME)
so they are preparing some videos with both Amiga and Linux related stuff to be played as video-comments during the tv-show...
8) Add your preferite hypotesis at this list...
Bye,
