Those were just meant to be examples of quality games, not suggestions. I realise licensing issues make porting some of them impossible.

I beg to differ with that premise. It suggests that all games are the same in terms of quality and that everything else is down to individual preference. That's like saying all books or all films are equally good.
I don't see things that way. For instance, I'm no fan of FPS games, and I must admit I rarely enjoy playing them, but I have enough perspective to be able to distinuguish between a quality FPS game and a turkey. The same goes for every other genre, whether it ranks high in my own preference list or not.
IncaGold games are not seen as mediocre because the people most vocal about them prefer other types of game. They are seen as mediocre because they're not very good. I don't expect anyone at IncaGold or Hyperion to agree, but then turkeys don't vote for Christmas. If I want to formulate an opinion on whether Windows is any good, I don't ask Microsoft. |
