Amigaworld.net is currently down due to hard drive failure.
Everything possible is being done to return the site to normal, however we are unable to give an ETA at this time.
In the meantime, the Amigaworld IRC network continues to function via the remaining US and European Amigaworld Servers
They are:-
UK.Amigaworld.Net
US2.Amigaworld.Net
NO.Amigaworld.Net
Updates will continue to be posted here as and when we know.

Amigaworld.net down : Comment 152 of 281 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Kay on 03-Sep-2004 14:01 GMT | In reply to Comment 104 (Don Cox): Well, to me it seemed that Buck was just a notch worse. I actually suspect he was intentionally stirring the pot, increasing the temperature in the Amiga community in order to break off as large a portion of it as possible.
But that's just how it seemed to me, and your mileage may vary. And I may even be wrong. I'll agree the red side has its part of the blame, and I hope we can leave it at that. I think we are all better off just trying to build whichever platform we chose. The split has happened, and the only thing which can be gained from further flamewars is to drive users away from both.
Hey this is a good day! Only one reply to my post, and it's civil! :-)
