Joanna,
If you havn't had a decent Amiga for years and you want one, why don't you
try the new Amithlon (whatever they will end up naming it) when it comes out.
I have a feeling it is going to make a very nice Amiga. Also, then you could
use whatever hardware you put it on to boot Linux and dabble with it too. I
would be happy to give you some ideas as to what on Linux is good. Nothing
wrong with useing more than one O.S. and more than one type of hardware.
Personally, I use Amiga, Mac, Linux and windows XP-Pro for O.S.s, and for
hardware I use 5 different Amigas, several flavors of x86 machines, and Macs.
So far, I haven't died from any of them nor been killed for useing any of
them.
