Pegasos G3 600 Mainboard 650 Euros : Comment 115 of 202 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Anonymous on 23-Mar-2002 10:42 GMT | In reply to Comment 31 (David Scheibler): The only product made by them that I use is a Cyberstorm mk2 but I wouldn't have any problem in using a gvp or apollo board. I don't use CGX, I use P96 and before CGX there was EGS. I can live without them happily. I had other products form DCE/Phase5 but they weren't very good, I prefer my Picasso4 to any CV3D crappy scandoubler combo. The DCE's scandoubler are specially crap, the colours aren't the right ones, it is not a flicker fixer and it only gives me a pitiful flickery screen. Thanks to Villagetronic I can watch PAL/NTSC programs without flicker at 100-150hz, try to do that with any phase5/DCE product :-P
Phase5... And now bPlan, the same people who dissapeared with the money from the g4 preorders; and DCE, the company with an excellent repairing service :-P
The same people who don't give the info to h&p & microcode solutions about the blizzards ppc to make fusion run in these accelerators? and it also blocks the OS4 development for these boards...
And Morphos a team with an obtuse mind who don't want to see their OS in a Prometheus/Mediator/AmigaOne.
When AROS gets finished it will be the same for free... there's nothing special about MorphOS, with AmigaOS4 at least you will have accelerated 3D drivers, AmigaDE (Java also)... a wide range of products to run it (AmigaOne/Mediator/Prometheus/CyberstormPPC/Pegasos)
I don't care about them... |
