differnet BGA-type then the faster G3s or Motorolas
G4. To include such a chip on the AOne it has to be
redesigned, or special adapter has to be produced to
fit a custom made cpu-module like the Pegasos.
Using a BGA-socket is definitly not a solution as
these are very exepnsive and only intended for testing
not for long time use.
As i said sticking to on BGA-type would also rule out
any other cpus.
My guess:
Eyetech had to convince(pay) the asian-developer to
produce the current AOne, and when its make enough
money they will finance the further development of
that board. The result would either be a soldered G4
or something quite similar to the BPlan-solution. |
