Pegasos G3 600 Mainboard 650 Euros : Comment 169 of 202 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Alex Klauke on 24-Mar-2002 11:02 GMT | In reply to Comment 167 (David Scheibler): Nah, come on David, this kind of nitpicking was what made this whole discussions
worse. :(
Tell the truth, which presents itself as 'Neither AmigaOS4.0 and MorphOS1.0
have a fixed final date of release yet. Both are _probably_ out in May'.
So why was MorphOS not released in Fall 2001 as it was running oh' so well on
a Pegasos? Wasn't it said to be ready then? As for me, I don't have a problem
with MorphOS being delayed, as it is not my primary OS of choice (you know I
do not own a PPC yet ;-) and second, even more important I do work in the
software industry for nearly 10 years now, I guess I know sth. about software
development circles. And I don't feel enforced to listen to propaganda like
from AiB or Nicolas but to make up my mind alone. May I?
Finally though, does anyone think either bPlan or Eyetech are going to release
developer boards for M/A-OS respectively more than 6 month in advance of the
final release of the OS? They wouldn't within the IT industry I know, but then
this is the _Amiga_ IT industry.. ;-)
Ciao, Alex |
