Is that so ? What about the harddrives, sound cards, video cards that AOne will use ? Are not they primarily designed for the Wintell world.
>If you buy a PPC amiga solution you help finance the next AmigaOS.
Amiga Inc. already gets a cut from Amithlon and Amithlon is selling really well :-)
>This is a big difference.
>I think that a high end PC with Amithlon is almost as expensive has a Pegasos mobo + parts.
Hardly, I can build a high end AMD platform including monitor and all the little bits and pieces needed for around $1800.00 Aust. You can add another $500 to $1000 Aust to that price for a Mac.
>Plus you have no clue if Amithlon will have a newer AmigaOS and native x86 parts.
>This make another huge difference.
Notice that Hyperion said they are only reponsible for OS4.0 and Amiga Inc. are reponsible for anything beyond. What have Amiga Inc. actually delivered that wasn't done by a third party ? Who's to say they will continue ? |
