"From: Raquel Velasco and Bill Buck. We would like to announce that the next scheduled production of the Pegasos has been sold out. Boards have been set aside for friendly developers, but all others have been sold. Another production of the Pegasos will follow in July." [ Source: Email forward... - CK ]

Next Pegasos production sold out : Comment 180 of 280 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Christian on 09-Jun-2002 09:59 GMT | In reply to Comment 158 (Bill): Hi Bill,
in one of your last comments you stated that Morphos/Pegasos is NOT pointing (among other targets)
at the remaining amiga people. This is indeed sad as many of us are see the pegasos as the long
awaited PPC-Amiga successor. I was ready to buy it as a "readily fitted desktop machine" which can
replace my 1200. Now you say it is a developer machine. Should I - as "end user" NOT buy this machine
and wait for something else? Why the A-Box/ Amiga compatibility? Why WARP-UP support in morphos?
Is your point of view representing that of the B-Plan people?
2nd question: when you say that just 50 boards have been shipped and the next run (july) will give another
500, i assume that us users wont have any pegasos hardware in our hands before september. does that
fit with your plans?
thanks in advance for your answers |
