Whats to stop hyperion buying an end-user board and reverse enginering the bits they need to get os 4 running on it ?
- Nothing is stopping them from buying it.
Reverse-engineer what ? I thought POP and open firmware
would mean something. Besides, Pegasos does not have
the extra bit of protection-code.
Whats to stop a clever person from hacking os 4 up to get it running on the board , is there really all that much difference between the two boards except the pegasos being inie weanie and the amigaone having another pci slot?
- The pegasos does not have the extra bit of protection-code.
Hacking the protection is ofcource always possible, its a matter
of how interested someone is to do it, and how long it will take,
etc..
..ofcource, as the pegasos board is smaller, thay have to write all
the code in lowercase.. hmm... no, njet :) |
