I am currently being threatened by my former employer (they are "compelled [to] take action against [me]") for the way I am running ANN, and how this allegedly violates my employment contract with them ("interfere _in any manner_ with any business relationship between the Company and any of its customers or business partners"). This might entail drastic changes to the relative freedom of speech ANN has always allowed its visitors, or ANN might close down altogether. Updated 10:00 CET.

Legal threats? : Comment 683 of 1057 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Mikey C on 08-Apr-2004 11:12 GMT | In reply to Comment 675 (tokai): "Same thing as some certain people claim in #amigaworld that every (orig: "large base of") morphos user is using a 'illegal copy' of Hyperions Quake2. "
Oh Geez, please don't try to make a martyr of yourself. I have an Email from a Pegasos user expressing his disappointment at the number of illegal Hyperion Q2 copies within the MOS community.
Also, if you recall at the time another Pegasos/MOS user, agreed that there was indeed illegal copying of Amiga programs going on within certain sections of the MOS community.
Note how I said SOME and not ALL. It is also well known how some OS4 68k Binaries such as Roadshow, is being distributed within certain sections of the MOS community and being used in MOS.
From the thread on that IRC session, it seems that unless companies such as Hyperion makes a native MOS version available, SOME MOS users feel justified to pirate Nativ Amiga sources.
As I said, some NOT ALL. It is a Large Number, but not the Majority.
