Say who ? I thought it was already said: We do want to support the Pegasos board. It's firmly planned. Unfortunately, we haven't received a developer board yet, but if we ever get one, OS4 will run on the Pegasos.

AmigaOS 4.0 on Pegasos : Comment 249 of 510 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Leif on 15-Apr-2002 20:06 GMT | In reply to Comment 241 (Frodon): Normally in the law, different hardware mean different platform like Intel platform is different from PPC platform.
But this argument is not receivable because AmigaOS run on the same hardware platform then MorphOS. That's to say, the PPC Platform.
---
MorphOS wouls then be perfectly legal on Classic Amiga
wtithout, even WITH PPC if you are right about this.
But on a PPC only system it could be worse, as *classic*
AMiga dont REALLY run on PPC only. But with the right lawyer
maybe it DOES :) Gaah.. laws.. there should be a law against it.
---
So both AmigaOS and MorphOS are able to run on the PPC platform (even if AmigaOS still need a 68k, it can use the PPC and it use it. And with AmigaOS 4, AmigaOS will use only the PPC).
But anyway this same hardware discussion is about the right of decompilation. But no decompilation have been used in the MorphOS development so even if this argument where valid (i.e: if it were different platform), it can't be used as this is a false accusation ;)
As I understand it, YES.
But as I said earlier, good lawyers/detectives could always
find something on anyone if they are well motivated.
Pherhaps the damage is already done. |
