Say who ? I thought it was already said: We do want to support the Pegasos board. It's firmly planned. Unfortunately, we haven't received a developer board yet, but if we ever get one, OS4 will run on the Pegasos.

And also because I found out that the decompilation exception in the EU directive places the burden of proof on the person invoking it.
So Amiga doesn't need to prove anything, they just need to say "you infringed our copyright".
Then it's for the other party to show that's not the case.

It would be pretty fucked up to throw something like that
on MOS.. You could even snare a completely innocent person
/company using laws like that. Pretty low.

And the only escape is the decompilation provision because as any knowledgable person will tell you: it is simply impossible to come up with a good AmigaOS emulation merely on the basis of the documentation released by Commodore and others.

Ok, can understand that. whatif this information about
"undocumented stuff" came from other people, lots of this
stuff is going "mouth to mouth" developers between.

That's one the reasons why AROS isn't compatible with AmigaOS.

I would think they opted for source-compability only from the start.
But thats just a guess. |
