Say who ? I thought it was already said: We do want to support the Pegasos board. It's firmly planned. Unfortunately, we haven't received a developer board yet, but if we ever get one, OS4 will run on the Pegasos.

AmigaOS 4.0 on Pegasos : Comment 383 of 510 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Stefan Burström on 17-Apr-2002 06:28 GMT | In reply to Comment 365 (cheesegrate): >Zget over this BS about being legal/ilegal. The point is that morphos is about a year in front of os4.0 in development and experience. so the only reason a court case is being brought is to cut

If company A tried to take over my user base (ie developers) I would fight
every fight possible to prevent them from doing that.
Seriosly, what makes MOS interesting? A PPC OS? Hardly! What makes it interesting
is that it allows existing Amiga apps to be run. If MOS by that attracts enough
users and developers to make AOS4.0 uninteresting to developers, they have
destroyed the marked AOS had before. And seriosly, the best OS has never won.
(Be, anyone?) If MOS was 100% new, not that many apps would exist and it would
be less attractive for the users. This has nothing todo when AOS4.0 is (ever?)
going to be released.
regards,
Stefan
(And of course my usual disclaimer, that this has nothing to do with my
pro/con MOS/AOS, it is just a comment regarding how companies do business) |
